Jeremiah—or as his friends know him, Jay—has been in the home improvement industry since leaving active duty service with the Marine Corps in 2004. His career started as a salesman for a large and established roofing company serving the VA/DC/MD market. Over the years, Jay has contracted and supervised millions of dollars worth of construction work. He started Orion Home Improvements in 2007, after a “kick in the pants” type conversation with a retired 3 star Army General, who purchased a new roof from Jay and the company he was working for. During this front porch conversation, the General was pleased with the process and the attention that Jay provided during the job and insisted that he could do a “Damn Fine Job” leading his own employees. Jay preaches his company vision of customer service through the core values of Honor, Courage, and Integrity on a daily basis to ensure that the employees and vendors deliver the best experience possible to those customers that choose Orion as their contractor.
